on Saturday 26 February we held a
40s evening.
Although food is on ration, we had a plentiful supply of dishes to select
from – such as Corned Beef Hash, Toad in the Hole, Beef
and Potato Pie, Woolton Pie, Fruit Crumble, Summer Pudding, Victory Pudding etc
etc. The evening ended with community singing of wartime favourites.
